Deep Down, I'm not a quiet little girl.

YOYOYOYO!!! My Chinese New Year holiday is going to end. T_T I don't wanna go to school so soon. I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but I wanna say... "I really love to hang out with my sis!!!" I like doing stupid things with her, and being around her, I will do a lot of things that I don't usually do. I realized that I like to drink alcohol. (Not that i've tried all different kinds of wine) LOL. Don't get me wrong. I'm not addicted to it. I like red wine, Champagne, Vodka... but I HATE beer! It tastes soooooooooooo bad!!!! I had once tried when I was in New York with my sis and her friends. I took a sip and then I was like, "There's no way I will drink beer." lol

4 more days!! 24th February!!! My 18th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!! I wonder what my sis and John John will get me, and also, I'm soooo looking forward to Jas's!!!!!!!!!

Here you go, chapter 22

Chapter 22

March 2008

Sam put the baggage of both his and Serena’s into the trunk. Opening the passage seat door for Serena, she got in and buckled her seatbelt. Sam walked around the trunk and got into his side. They looked at each other, and smiled.

“I so don’t wanna leave.” Sam whispered, titled his head and kissed on her lips.

Serena kissed back, seconds later they pulled away. She looked straight into his eyes and said, “Me either.”

Sam grinned; he threw the Volvo in gear and drove off.

“I’ll see you at dinner?” Sam asked, half of his body were out of the window.

“I’ll call you.” Smiled Serena replied.

Sam nodded. “I’ll come and pick you up.” Watching Serena got into the dormitory, he took off. He was very happy about the trip in Florida. Everything was just so great. It was so perfect. He drove back to his dormitory, and unpacked his baggage and grabbed a clean tee-shirt and boxer into the bathroom. It was around eight when he got Serena’s call.

“Hey Sweetie, it’s about time you call.” Sam said happily.

“I was unpacking and taking a shower.” Serena sounded happy.

“So you want Chinese or Italian?”

“Can we have it in my place?”

Sam wondered, “Of course we can. You want me to bring the food along or you want to order when I arrive?”

“You decided. I’ll see you in a bit.” Serena giggled.

Sam was wondering what that was all about. “Okie doie.” He hanged up, putting on his jacket, grabbing the car key, and making sure that he had the very important thing in his wallet, he set off to Serena’s.

Serena threw herself into Sam the moment he arrived at the door. She couldn’t wait to see him. Sam was surprised by her action but was pleased. Their lips touched.

“I bought Chinese.” Sam pulled away and said.

Serena smiled; “Wonderful.” and she continued to kiss Sam.

“You’re in a good mood.” Sam chuckled.

“So are you.”

Sam put the content boxes on the table while busying kissing Serena. He kicked the door closed behind him. He hugged Serena tightly, and slowly he embraced her, and with one hand on her back, pressing her against his chest. They made their way to the couch.

“You’re not hungry?” Sam forced out the words.

Serena panted, “Nah. Let’s eat later.” She giggled and continued the kiss.

The morning sunshine shone through the window, Serena was sleeping in Sam’s arms on the couch. He had his arms around her protectively. Serena released herself from his strong arms as gently as possible, hoping not to wake Sam.

Serena quietly walked to the bathroom and grabbed a shower.

The sound of running water had Sam woke up. He opened his eyes and saw that Serena was no longer in his arms, he looked around, having no sign of Serena, and he figured she was taking a shower. Sam laughed to himself; last night was another exciting night.

The door opened and Serena walked out of the bathroom, “Morning, Sam.” She smiled; her smile was the sweetest on this planet. Sam looked at her, refusing to look away. He made his way to her, and wrapped her in his arms.

“I love you.” Sam whispered in her ears.

“I love you too.” Serena whispered back.

Sam pulled away, and Serena walked to the dinning table, looking at the dinner last night, she said, “I guess they’re gonna be our breakfast.” pointing at the content boxes.

Sam chuckled, “I guess.”

“I’m gonna go park the car, I’ll see you inside.” Sam said. Serena got off the Volvo and nodded.

“Yeah, see you in the Lab.” Serena led forward and kissed Sam.

Sam drove off.

Far away, a girl was shocked to see what she saw just now.

Sam and Serena were kissing.

The rumors were not rumors. They were the fact.

*

The next day, Nancy rushed to West High after her last lesson, she searched for Sam in the crowd, and she ran to him when she spotted him. She patted on his shoulder and Sam turned around to see Nancy there.

“Hey, Nance, what are you doing here?” Sam asked, happily to see Nancy.

Nancy just stared at him and then said, “Sam Parker! I can’t believe you’ve me kept in the dark for so long!” Nancy glared at him. “The others told me about that and I didn’t believe them! If this time I didn’t see it with my own two eyes, I would never know that it is true!” Nancy said angrily.

“What’re you talking about?” Sam asked, confused.

“About you and Serena.” Nancy told Sam.

“What about it?” Sam frowned at her.

Nancy shook her head, “I give you one chance! You put an end on it, it’s gonna be now or never!” Nancy whispered in his ear. Sam stepped back, with his eyes locked with Nancy’s.

Nancy! What is it?” Sam’s eye went wide; he had no idea why she was that angry about him and Serena.

“You and I or you and her.” Nancy demanded.

“What!? What’s going on?” Sam asked a frown in his voice.

“Fine, you had your chance, don’t you come to me, I’m nobody to you anymore, and I’m so disappointed in you.” Nancy said as she was turning away.

“No, please, tell me what’s wrong!” Sam pleaded.

There was a pause, none of them said anything.

“How much do you love me?” Nancy asked all of a sudden.

Sam looked surprised but he answered anyway. “I love you more than just cousins; I love you as my sister!”

Sam saw Serena out of the corner of his eyes; she was walking to him; Sam immediately said, “I will fix this. Let’s talk about this later, ok?” Sam pleaded.

“No!” Nancy shook her head and continued; “Only one of us can exist, and you’re gonna decide who.” Nancy’s eyes shoot to him, not in angry but more in disappointment.

Never had both of them knew that Serena had overheard the last part of the conversation before Sam saw her walking to him. Serena had been standing next to the stairs, and then she walked to the other side of the building and pretended to be walking to Sam. She had once thought of asking Sam what was that all about but on second thought, she did not.

“Oh, hey, Serena!” Sam greeted.

Serena replied with a smile and asked “Well, um, are you free after school?”

Sam thought for a second, and replied, “It depends, why?”

Serena looked at Sam with surprised, “It depends?” Serena repeated what Sam said, “What if I tell you that I wanna spend some time with you? Does that count on your depend list?” Serena said, her voice thick with sarcastic.

Sam opened his mouth but then shut it again. He did not know what he should do, he wanted to talk to Serena, about anything, like wanting to go for a movie with her during weekend, or simply grabbing a smoothie after school, but he just couldn’t, the words of Nancy were flowing around his head and he felt so perplexed.

Serena felt so upset, she guessed Sam has made his decision, she did not bothering to ask anymore, and she just said, “Never mind.” Serena walked away without saying anything, Sam felt so guilty seeing Serena like that, he did not know what he should do in order to brighten Serena’s dark mood. Or hell, he didn’t know why Nancy was so upset about them being together and how he could fix the things between three of them!

*

The Volvo stopped in front of Nancy’s house and Sam ran up to the door and rang the bell. The door opened and Nancy made her way back to the couch as Sam followed her.

“Nance, what’s that all about?” Sam asked as he threw his backpack to the floor and walked up to Nancy who had sat down already. When she did not response, he shook her shoulder. Nancy finally turned her head and face Sam.

“I know this whole thing is absurd, but I don’t like the idea of you dating Serena.” Nancy said, getting up from the couch.

“I don’t understand! What’s wrong with that?” Sam asked with a frown in his voice.

“I just don’t like it.” Nancy replied simply and shook her head.

“Nance, tell me what it is.” Sam pleaded, he knew there was something wrong with Nancy, but he just could not figure out what!

“Allow me to demand for an absurd condition,” Nancy paused and he waited, confused. “You gotta choose between me and her. One is your family and one is who you love.”

Sam's eyes hood themselves a little bit, “Nance, you know me better than anyone else!” he shook his head, unable to accept the fact that Nancy, a person he treated as a sister, was asking him to choose between family and girlfriend. Nancy knew exactly what Sam would choose.

“It’s not hard to choose when you had already decided who long time ago.” Nancy was using the choice that Sam would always make against him.

Sam sank into the couch when he heard that, “What’s the matter with you!?” he whispered, turning his head to look at Nancy. She looked at him, she did not say a word. “That’s insane! I’m not gonna choose!” He shouted and stood at his full height. Nancy looked at him but still she did not say anything. He shook his head with disgust, grabbed his keys and left the house.

Sam was sitting at the wheel, wondering what was wrong with Nancy, when she dropped neatly in the passenger seat.

“Get out of the car.” Sam demanded.

Nancy’s not caring at all, insisting, “Wherever you are going, I’m going with you.” Nancy said firmly, she raised her eyebrows that clearly say so there.

“I’m going to Faith’s.” Sam told her.

“Then we are going together.” Nancy looked at Sam. He sighed and started the Volvo.

*

Serena sent Sam a text message asking him if he wanted to go Faith’s together. But Sam replied saying he would go himself. Serena then just went up to Faith’s dorm when she arrived. She was the first to arrived, she chatted with Faith for a while and soon the others arrived, Sam was with Nancy. When Serena saw them coming together, she was very surprised, she did not expect Sam would come with Nancy.

“Faith, you mind if Nance joins us? She’s good at debate.” Sam asked as he took off his jacket. Clearly, he not in a good mood.

“Sure, that’s great!” Faith answered happily. During the entire discussion, Sam never glanced at Serena for a second, she was feeling so awkward, but still she could not ask Sam right away. She knew there was something wrong, but she just could not figure out what! Serena was feeling so uneasy the whole discussion, how much she wished Sam would talk to her, how much she wished she could leave at that moment.

*

The Skipping Competition was just a good chance for Sam to think everything over. Serena and the other friends were busy practicing and because of that Serena would not be with him all the time and he did not have to find excuse to stay away from her.

Serena missed Sam so much, after hearing the conversation, she did not know what to do, she hoped things would be just like the past, she wished to grab hold of every possible chance to be with Sam, but every time, after school, Sam would leave real fast and Serena did not have a chance to do so. Sam seemed to be avoiding Serena. She did not know what she should do, so many times she picked up the phone and wanted to speed dial Sam but in the end, she gave up. She was so lost. She knew that whole avoiding thing involved Nancy, she knew that Nancy and Sam were talking about the relationship that they were having. But she did not know what Nancy want Sam to do, but now, it seemed that the answer was pretty clear.
